Happy 1st Day Liberty! Soar like the Eagles You are!
To all my liberty family. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week. For all that you are, for all that you do. I salute you.
"The Calm Schools Initiative is a new program that allows teachers to incorporate periods of quiet and intentionality into the school day. It’s available to any teacher with a K-12 classroom.

As a teacher, all you have to do is fill out a short form on the Calm website. After a few days, you’ll receive approval and unlimited access to numerous guided meditations and mindfulness exercises. Your confirmation email will also include tips and best practices for incorporating mindfulness into a classroom environment."
Hi all. We need help in the mornings in the library next week to make sure the book fair can happen. The fair helps cover the cost of replacing our library's lost or damaged books.

Not all schools have a library. Any help to keep ours a great resource for our kids would be greatly appreciated!

The Board of Directors approved mileage reimbursement to families eligible to drive their child to and from school for the 21-22 school year. Eligible families will receive communications if the district cannot provide transportation asking them to release their seats. An eligible student is a student that normally would receive yellow bus services and that as of now the district is unable to provide the service at this time. The mileage reimbursement rate will be $10 per day roundtrip for less than 12 miles or $20 per day roundtrip for less than 24 miles. Parents/guardians are required to provide a valid driver's license, car registration, and insurance documentation with each monthly reimbursement request.

Families who can transport their child to and from school can sign up to release their seat at www.pghschools.org/release your seat. Bus passes will be provided to eligible parents/guardians that can give up their child's yellow bus seat but does not have a car or a driver's license.

Happy Juneteenth! Now a federal holiday, June 19, 1865 marks the day when the last group of enslaved people were freed in Galveston, Texas— two years after Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.

Gatherings across the World will celebrate the rich contributions and cultural impact African Americans have made in this country. This weekend, I plan to participate in Juneteenth events. I encourage you to explore local black businesses, support a local black artist, or attend a Juneteenth event.
