29,529 Pennsylvanian are leaving with end-stage renal disease (ERSD or kidney failure). Without treatment-dialysis or a Transplant-ESRD is fatal.

19,774 depend on dialysis to stay alive, 9,818 have transplants.

Hi everyone how are you all doing. I’m thinking about a good friend and kidney warrior we lost to this disease in November. John Pollard , you were the first to show me the ropes in this battle. Much different from our days in Okinawa. If any of you are in The San Diego area there will be a celebration of Chief Pollard’s life in Miramar on Friday. I will be here in Pennsylvania with my memories. Thank you Chief. The watch has been set.

Waiting for home health. A little anxious but Thom will be home soon so it will be ok. I m God I’m able to tough it through but I’m tired and I think I have learned enough over the last year to be at least a medical student. Good thing. I had that old fashioned medical training1. 40 years it has taken me to gather my knowledge but I have used it and keep learning. If I can help reach out!
