What are "you wrapped in"?

Thats the question ive been asking myself lately.

What we get wrapped up is what are kids get wrapped up in.

In my 2023 book, chapter 1 is titled "Goals in Stone, Plans in Sand."

In my book, I share a moment when I made the collegiate team after trying out as a walk-on. Driving home was a mix of emotions. Why was I crying and feeling empty after an incredible accomplishment? I should have been leaping with joy after all the adversity I faced to accomplish this! The truth is, I was apart from him and blinded by my ambition, not seeing the mission.

Frustration didn't lead to fruit; frustration led to more frustration.

Looking back now, my accomplishment was without Jesus. I didn't see the bigger picture. I thought I had arrived, but instead of feeling satisfied, I felt empty. The good news is, I enjoy that moment now more than ever.

The man who enjoys the journey is better off than the man who enjoys the destination.

I titled my book "Let Faith Grow" because I knew it would keep me accountable to share my faith every day. Plus, I like the faith-based acronym LFG.

I do believe lives are transformed when we share our faith, not push agendas. I am so blessed by the doors the Lord has opened in my life.

Sitting in a season of the HSV virus in my left eye, I am at peace because of who is with me. Like any adversity today, it's the victory tomorrow. I get to praise the one who is with me in the hills and valleys. He is my rock; he keeps my goals in stone. The sand represents the plans I'll pivot and not panic in.

God first and goals second.

I encourage you to tweak things daily and stay on the path.

I asked for a prayer today with Michael Price for my sight to be restored and healed from the virus in my left eye. Thats the only sight I have left. I hav an abundance of vision by hus grace and wisdom.
it would be nice to have vision and sight.

The end of the year can easily become "busy". When we are focused on th÷ season being productive vs busy it can help us stay obedient so we dont panic in the chaos but rather stay calm.

This season when we walk into the room we have to ask, ro I walk in with Peace oe chaos?

God is in the room.

I was in the ER yesterday from 1 p.m. and got home at 11:30 p.m. I'm waiting on a few tests to confirm it's the HSV virus in my left eye for the third time since I was 11.

Yesterday morning I knew I needed to go. I'll be honest, I didn't want to. We make excuses not to go to the doctors. We don't have time, money, or we are in denial about what's going on. I knew what was going on but didn't want to go.

Around me, we couldn't believe how many stories we heard by the end of a long day.

I did get three injections into my left eye towards the end. I can see today.

Yesterday was a beautiful example of "Let Faith Grow."

Faith grows when we go to Christ. We need to let faith grow and willingly come to Him, open the door, and let Him in. I hope this encourages you that He is our life insurance policy, and we have nothing to fear.

I want to say I wasn't afraid of getting the eye injections. I knew they were coming and I asked a lot of questions. Was I curious or buying time? Lol.

I will say the shots didn't hurt, yes, because of the amazing team, but also that's the power of letting fear go.

If you know you need to spend time with our mighty healer but you've been putting it off, please don't. Remember, accepting our Lord and Savior means that when God sees you, He sees Christ in you.

Enjoy His presence this holiday week.

Let Faith Grow is now an LLC.
Letting Faith Grow means surrendering. It means flipping the scripture of this world for the scripture of the Bible (God's word).
It means showing up with the passion of Christ, not the pressure to perform.

It only took six months for them to start working on the house after the fallen tree damage in April.

I got to run five miles this morning from a place of peace. I am running the Pittsburgh EQT 10 Miler this weekend.

I started running after a brain injury in 2013. I didn't know what else to do at the time. I was 26, just engaged, and my "world collapsed," just like the tree in April.
By faith, we Pivot Over Panic. It was never about the roof collapsing or the brain injury. It was always about the covering of Christ by grace.

Both are testimonies and opportunities transformed by the renewal of your mind and rebuilt on a firm foundation.

I encourage you that today's adversity is tomorrow's victory; stand firm in it.

[11] For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Isaiah 54:17 NIV
[17] no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

It's race week!

When we get new shoes, we can't wait to break them in. We can't wait to get those new cleats on the field, new kicks on the hardwood, or those new shoes for race day.

The new shoes make us feel new. We feel ready. We are ready to show them off.

When we put on the armor of God, we are new!

[15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

It's not the new shoes we purchase that get us the performance and recognition we want to get. It is the readiness from the gospel of peace that gives us the traction to show up with the passion of Christ. The readiness we've been given by grace alone.

Let's put on the shoes of peace to spread the good news of the Gospel. We are sent to be proclaim not perform.
