The Old Mill: Forged in Fire
We are a student group that is designing and building a small amusement ride for Carnegie Mellon University's Spring Carnival! The Old Mill tells the story of an abandoned Pittsburgh steel mill that is reopened for museum tours. Our guests are sent out on a tour only to realize that the steel mill is not as dead as they had thought!
Funding for The Old Mill will be used to help pay for necessary construction supplies for the ride and sets, electronics for the ride vehicles, and promotional materials to attract even more people to our ride.
This will be the very first ride to be completely designed and built by students, so any support we can get will make this historic moment that much more attainable. Many of our team members are also pursuing careers in Themed Entertainment, so building this ride will make those dreams attainable as well!
We are currently acquiring the funding necessary to construct our ride.
