Fortress is a large-scale immersive installation art project that reintroduces the idea of play as a social activity in the context of a fantastical interactive landscape. Referencing a nexus of imaginative play from childhood, the blanket fort, Fortress magnifies the scale over several thousand square feet offering individually themed installation rooms, connected by winding tunnels made out of s

Hey everyone, Theres a couple of things we are still looking for for the exhibition on Saturday including a box fan, a mini fan or two, extension cords and a videographer to capture some footage from the exhibition that we could hopefully stitch together into a crowd-funding campaign video. PM me if you have any of those materials. Does anyone know someone who would be a good/affordable videographer?
Hey Friends and Fort Fans,
If you've been wanting to help out with the project but arent able to donate your labor here are some materials we are trying to scrounge up for the exhibition for Art All Night. You can assume all donated materials will be returned to you within a week of the exhibition.
If you have anything you'd be willing to lend please comment here and I'll PM you about pickup.

- extension cords/power strips
- blacklights
- full length mirror (for inside the blacklight body paint tent)
- fans (box, floor or mini - to help with tent ventilation)
- pretty fabrics, rugs, draperies and pillows (for the Arabian tent)

This is a prototype of what will eventually become an immersive LED environment for Fortress. We used 25 milkjugs, 100 LEDs, and programmed sequences using an Arduino controller. The final installation will be a room made up of 700+ milkjug lamps and will serve as a canvas for creating powerful light experiences.
We're hoping to present the installation at Art All Night the weekend of April 26th. We will be having building parties leading up to this, so if you are interested in getting involved, stay tuned!!!

Hey Fortress Fans! We just wanted to give you an update on our current progress. We are currently in the process of applying for a few grants and hope to get some funding for bigger, better installations of the project!
The next thing we are going to be building is a milk jug igloo, which we will be programming with LEDs. We are collecting milk jugs and should have enough by the end of January. We hope to plan some building parties in February after the holidays, so anyone who is interested in getting involved, stay tuned to our page for more updates!
