This picture is of a remarkable woman, Michelle Obama. She carried herself with grace, intelligence, dignity, and strength while serving in one of the most scrutinized roles in the world. The pressure and criticism that came with being First Lady of the United States were immense, yet she handled them with poise and resilience.

To falsely claim that she is a man says more about the ignorance and hostility behind the accusation than it does about her. Such attacks are rooted in disrespect and misinformation, and they have no place in constructive public discourse.

Whether you agree with her politics or not, Michelle Obama’s accomplishments, character, and commitment to service have made a lasting impact on this country. In the eyes of many Americans, she stands among the most admired and influential First Ladies in our nation’s history.

Roxanne Thomas was a remarkable person and a dedicated community leader who deeply cared about our youth. She helped countless individuals enter the construction industry and created opportunities for young people to receive training in various construction trades.
Her commitment to empowering others and strengthening our communities made a lasting impact on so many lives. She will be greatly missed, and I am grateful for everything she did to make our city and community better.
Rest in power, Roxanne. Your legacy will live on through the lives you touched.

Personal Note. Experience is the best teacher. Every day brings a new lesson, a new opportunity to grow, and a new chance to become better. The teacher is always present the question is whether the student is ready.

Being a Father.

It is an honor to be recognized alongside such tremendous men who are also incredible fathers. Being a good father and raising our children to the best of their ability is one of life’s greatest challenges.

There are times when I wonder if I’m doing enough and question whether I’m getting it right. Yet, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles on your children’s faces and knowing that you have made a positive impact in their lives.

There is no book that can teach you everything about being a great parent, but there is one thing that makes all the difference: love. At the end of the day, love is what guides us, strengthens us, and helps us become the parents our children need. And truly, love is all you need. I am grateful for God’s Blessings. Thank you 🙏🏾

There is so much criticism directed at our children that sometimes we forget to enthusiastically celebrate their achievements and milestones.

Today, I want to congratulate and celebrate every student—from kindergarten to college—who graduated this year! 🎉👩🏾‍🎓👨🏾‍🎓 Your hard work, perseverance, and dedication have paid off, and you should be proud of all you’ve accomplished.

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you 🙏🏾 to the moms, dads, grandparents, guardians, teachers, and supporters whose sacrifices, encouragement, and love helped make these graduations possible.
