Within the warm atmosphere of the classroom and view of the Garden, we will read portions of poems about gratitude including “Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude” by Ross Gay, and meditate on what gratitude is and how we access it. We’ll use listing as a poetic tool to access our own first draft of a gratitude poem. Finally, in the editing process, writers will explore individual and global intention setting as a way of calling imagination into being.
