Event: Foraging Prose & Poetry
In-Person: Pittsburgh Botanic Garden
Saturday, July 18th, 10AM-12PM

🦋Join community herbalist, essayist, and poet, Sarah Velázquez, on a mindful walk in the carefully stewarded land of Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens.

We will take our time with the fauna and flora we stumble upon and will utilize their beauty and candor, along with writing prompts, to generate original pieces of writing (of any genre). Sit by a tree and write their story. Listen to a reading while you put your feet into the grass and find their roots. Love on a flower and write her love story. This workshop is not for only nature writers but also for nature-loving writers and any creator that appreciates the gifts of life.

Stop by in Bakery Square between 3-6pm today! A percentage of sales goes to support our Community Collaboration programs which allows us to take our workshops into spaces where creative expression is not always seen as a priority.

This is today in Garfield from 2-6pm. It’s FREE and open to anyone. You do not have to have kids. They have LOTS to give away, mostly snacks. Also paper towels and hand soap, and detergent pods. Please see the last photos with the flyer and more info.
