Experience a comprehensive series of shimmy drills and exercises meticulously crafted to refine and perfect your shimmies, from the powerful shaking of your hips to the electrifying movements in your shoulders and beyond. Work on shimmy variations, layering techniques, and shimmy combinations. Get ready to immerse yourself in this dynamic and spirited workshop, where you not only break a sweat but also emerge with a gleaming shimmy technique that will dazzle on any stage.

Let’s get fancy and sophisticated with elegant combos that include fluid undulations, beautiful poses, stylized arm pathways, and decorative articulations. We will focus on executing each isolation with precision and grace. Fine-tune your dance skills by learning these grand movement sequences that command attention. Then take these combos home and leave your audiences captivated with your postures, poise, and regal stage presence.

Enchanted Creature Ball: Sirens and Sea Monsters performer spot light on Sako Tumi! Sako Tumi is a fusion dancer based out of the Northern Virginia area. She has over 20 years of dance experience under her bellydance belt, and her style tends to hold a dark, folkloric tinge to it. A combination of turkish, libyan and balkan styles help her celebrate the peoples’ dance. Come to Enchanted Creature Ball: Sirens and Sea Monsters on Saturday, October 7 in Carnegie, PA and see the beautiful and talented aerialist Barbara Brutt performing! Barbara took her lifelong love of dance to the skies in 2016, and in 2020, she became an aerial teacher and performer. She loves nothing more than creating a story through aerial movement, and she loves to ham it up for an audience. By day, Barbara is a content marketer and author, and she spends her evenings training or teaching at Iron City Circus Arts or performing with Iron City Aerial or Pittsburgh Circus Arts Collaborative.
