Radio 45 is now Radio Return.
Why are we re-branding?
Two reasons.
First, our “45 bullet” logo has occasionally been mistaken as a political symbol. This has happened at shows, and even to a fan who wore a bullet-logo shirt to a high school football game. That kind of misunderstanding isn’t something we want associated with the band.
Aligning a band’s identity with any political figure or movement is risky. Our goal is simple: make great music and welcome every fan who wants to be part of it. We don’t want anyone turned away because of a political interpretation that was never intended.
Radio Return was the original name for this project when it was envisioned more than a decade ago. It was changed to Radio 45 at the last minute when we published our first song in 2024.
We’re now reclaiming our Radio Return history with this change in branding. Our mission is to record great songs for radio — and the new name (and our first name) fits perfectly.
Second, we’re about to turn the volume way up with the release of our new album. With new music, new promotion, and more visibility ahead, this is the natural moment to evolve the brand. If we’re going to make a change, this is the moment to do it.
Radio 45 is a cherished part of our history.
Long live Radio 45.
