Our kiddo loved the stop by one of our local officers! We think it was Officer Fennell, but didn’t catch his name - if you stopped and talked to a 3 year old and gave him a sucker today, you made his day! Thank you!

@ Pittsboro Police department
You guys rock!
Thank you Officer Weber!
I know its not the PD's responsibility but would somebody please replace the 35 MPH sign that was knocked over on Jeff Gordon Blvd (275 E)
Also if its not too much could they either trim the trees that our covering the speed signs on Wall Street or reposition the signs
I personally wanted to take the time to thank your department for participating in our Daughter Mia’s 7th Birthday Parade. I was so overcome with emotions, I believe I cried the entire time. I would post the video but it won’t let me on your page. She later told us it was the best birthday ever!! Thank you so much!!!
Great advice. I didn't know there was a vacation check form. Good to know! Thank you!
Loved the lip sync video. I was not able to see the officers names who had been lost. The video went too quickly at that point and I could not stop it to see the names before it started over again. Please show listing of fallen officers. May God bless their families and the Dept.
A BIG thank you to Officer Crouch for stopping to help my son get his football out of the road and for taking the time to toss the ball with him while out patrolling my neighborhood. Just one of the reasons I love our little town. Thanks for keeping us safe.
Thank you to the sweet officer who stopped to help my son, clean and patch him up after he fell off his bike. 😊
Thank you for all you do! Glad we got to come out and support! Stay safe!

🚨 DMPD FRAUD ALERT 🚨

Citizens are once again reporting to our agency that they have been receiving fraudulent phone calls. They advised that the caller identified themselves as a local law enforcement officer/sheriff’s deputy, and says that there has been a warrant issued for their arrest. The caller then advised that the warrant can be taken care of if a payment is made over the phone. THIS IS ALWAYS A SCAM! The sheriffs office or local police will never call you and request payment to take care of an outstanding warrant. If you receive this call, simply hang up. Do not give out any payment information, or provide the individual with any personal information. Please share this with your friends and family. 11/10/2022

‼️PLEASE READ‼️

Within the last 60 minutes, Pittsboro Officers made an arrest on an individual who blew over .330 within town limits. Drunk driving is never OK but Halloween is especially dangerous as the streets will have thousands of individuals partaking in trick-or-treating. Please use caution tonight if you’re going to be out and about and if you’re drinking, please do not drive.

Our deepest heartfelt condolences go out to K9 Officer Seara Burton‘s fiancé, family, and all of Richmond Police Department. On August 10, 2022, Officer Burton was shot in the line of duty. ‼️🏴‍☠️Porch Pirates Warning🏴‍☠️‼️

It appears as though Captain Jack Sparrow may have some colleagues of his operating in the area. Several homes within Pittsboro area were the victims of a thin blonde haired female on Saturday evening. The suspect and her driver would carry an empty box to the porches with packages and swap them out. This was done to make it look like they were delivering a package. As of now, it appears they only targeted homes where the owner wasn’t home. These thefts appear to have taken place at night but it can certainly happen during the day as well. The Pittsboro Police Department continues to investigate these thefts. If you have any information as to the identity of the suspects please contact Detective Gallico at [email protected]

* If possible, take steps to secure your packages as soon as they are delivered, i.e. a trusted neighbor.
