Monique and I saw this vintage Barth motorhome in Wears Valley, TN today. It has a Florida plate. I have tremendous respect for owners of these (great) older units. Airstream Nest - I disagree. There are similar RVs made by Casita, Scamp, and Oliver that are high quality and at a much lower price point. The Nest was dead-on-arrival in my opinion.
GMC Motorhome - Totally agree. The styling is a timeless and nothing currently on the market compares.
Wanderlodge - Agree. Most motorhomes today are built on whimpy platforms. The Blue Bird Wanderlodges are built for the long haul and worth every penny.
What's missing? The aluminum Airstream motorhomes are clearly missing. My list would have certainly included Avion aluminum trailers! Airstream needs competition.

This was the last year of this model made under the Argosy brand. In 1990, these switched to the Airstream brand and became know as "Squarestreams."

Here is the latest update from KOA. Please remember that this situation is very fast moving and will vary by state. For example, some states are closing RV parks to new residents. I am not sure what that means. Does that only apply to long term residents? Will you have to leave if you are not on a long term arrangement? Will they allow you to shelter in place if an order is given? My recommendation is to check with your particular campground.

You should be prepared to use your RV's bathroom as many campgrounds have temporarily closed their facilities.

Some private RV parks are closing to NEW arrivals.

Stay healthy and remember that this too shall pass.

This is a 1995-1999 Safari Trek motorhome that Monique and I spotted at Walmart in Sevierville,TN last night. It has a badge with "Pathfinder Diesel" on the side. It looked between 28 and 30 feet to us. The Safari Trek model is known for being a shorter motorhome with higher end features like riveted aluminum siding and wood cabinetry. Many of them are rear bath with a front bed that stays above the front driver and passenger seats called an "Electro-Majic Bed."

We saw this Oliver Legacy Elite II fiberglass trailer yesterday. Think of it as a larger Casita or Scamp. The Oliver trailers are longer and have two axles.

Also notice the solar panels and the water filters! The water filters are a standard 10" canister (which I just bought the same setup) and a larger water softener unit.

Here is an example of what some folks call a "B+" model. This is a Trail Lite by R-Vision. A B+ RV is essentially a smaller Class-C motorhome minus a cab-over. They are not a class-B because the rear of the van has been removed.

This is a great article regarding the real value of an older quality RV. The key is to buy what I call "yesterday's Cadillac." Don't go out and buy an older lesser brand. The other key here is the level of service that the factory provided. There are some great "orphan" brands out there but they lack support from the manufacturer.
