IT’S ALMOST THAT TIME AGAIN! 😍🎃👻 We’re partnering with 🧊Brain Freeze Skate Wax] for our annual Halloween meetup this year for something a little extra spooky n special. We’ll be doing our usual in-costume skate and costume contest, but we’ll also be holding a street skating clinic for anyone who wants to participate! With plenty of 🧊Brain Freeze Skate Wax] skate wax 😝

This past Saturday we lost one of our dear community members, Lin AKA .poem.skates
If you had the joy of meeting or skating with Lin, you know what a special, beautiful soul she was. Even those who didn’t get the chance to meet her knew her name and were inspired by her creativity and light. Lin gave so much to this community through her advice, tutorials, positive energy, motivating and inspiring words, and most importantly, her friendship.

There is a lovely memorial set up at the Tempe skatepark off of Warner and Hardy if you would like to go pay your respects and shred in Lin’s honor.

To see how many people were touched by Lin’s presence in their lives is truly magical. She was something so special, and this community and the world won’t be the same without her. We love you Lin ♥️ Words can’t describe how much you will be missed by us all.

We love when the community comes together for a cause 🥰 Thank you again to and for organizing this awesome event. We raised $550 for !! ♥️

Pride Meetup ‘Donate to S.K.A.T.E.’!
As a fun way to raise money for LGBTQ+ charities, we’ll be hosting a game of S.K.A.T.E. at the Pride meetup this Saturday (thank you to our friend for the idea)! We ask a $5 minimum cover charge to participate, though we welcome and encourage more if you’re able. The game is open to any and all levels*, and tricks may be adjusted to suit your comfortability. Again, this game is more about fun and raising money for charity, not so much competition. :)
In case you don’t know, here are the rules:
*Game may be broken up into groups depending on how many players sign up.

RULES
Must donate $5 minimum to play.
A trick ‘setter’ will perform a trick and then each player will take a turn trying to copy or ‘match’ that trick.
If a player fails to match the trick, they get a letter. If they get enough letters to spell SKATE, they’re out of the game.
We will go in order of the sign up list to determine who sets the next trick (as opposed to who gets first match).
The “winner” gets to choose which charity to donate the pool of money to! (Can choose to split between multiple)

We have a couple of awesome shops/ and organizations joining us for the fun! One of them is - they will selling sparkly and handmade skate accessories! Stop by to check them out or to just say hi! ✨

Please join us Saturday, June 18th for our second annual pride meetup! It will start at 7am at pecos skatepark. Let’s skate together in a safe space for our community, and celebrate the people who make it. ✨🌈
