From the outside it may look simple, however, there are a lot of moving parts to it, depending on one's set up, of course. I truly wrestled with whether to post this, but after a moment of reflection, it was absolutely essential—especially since the individual had the gall to broadcast it publicly.
If I were a bar venue—definitely not the goddess Venus—I would be thoroughly affronted by a company that, in their infinite wisdom, suggests I'm "doing it wrong" if I dare pay more than their bargain-basement rates. It's not just unhelpful; it's a masterclass in gaslighting and a dash of narcissism. And let's not overlook the scent of desperation wafting through this ad.
I could dive deeper into this rabbit hole, but why bother?
This ad might have been revolutionary in 1990, when rates under $200 were the norm. In today's world? It's almost laughable.
What this really reveals is a business model stuck in a time warp—and let's not even start on the near-exploitative wages for karaoke hosts. You'd think that after two decades, they'd want to work with industry peers to keep things fair. Instead, this ad is a slap in the face to every DJ and KJ out there.
There's a huge chasm between merely being a karaoke host and actually producing a show that keeps the crowd coming back.
I get it—venues want to save a few bucks. But those "savings" can cost them thousands in lost opportunities. And let's face it, it drags the entire industry down

When you do the next right indicated thing, treat people with respect, dignity, and compassion, along with decent character and integeiry, it manifests opportunities. Even the wicked prosper. However, without making some internal adjustments, that prosperity is greatly limited, and eventually those whom seek themselves will be exposed simply as a direct result of their foolishness!
