Scouting space, finding the right angle, choosing the lens, figuring out audio in a real room (always fun), working through framing, tweaking light, then finally building the rig. It’s a lot of small choices that add up to one natural interview frame.

Flat lay photography lives and dies by the lighting. These flat lay’s (for Agave, The Arizona Spa) were built with a top-down camera, soft directional light to control reflections, and subtle shadow falloff to keep everything dimensional without overpowering the composition. The goal is even illumination with just enough contrast so textures, packaging, and finishes stay clean, legible, and premium.

Good lighting should behave like the room it’s in. Shaped the light to match the ambient scene so highlights and shadows feel natural, not forced.
