NEW guided treks coming October 2026! Our expanded operating area includes routes in the Superstition and Mazatzal Wildernesses, as well as the Pleasant Valley Ranger District of the Tonto National Forest. This not only allows Backpack Arizona to showcase the diverse backcountry landscapes of our state, but also lets us provide year-round adventure opportunities!

We’re also launching a series of interactive single-day backpacking seminars that will take place on an actual trail. This will give people the opportunity to learn how to prepare a pack, set up camp, try out some gear in a backcountry context, and whatever else you hope to learn in order to feel confident getting into nature!
