Phantom Spring

monday, february 10th, 2025.
on this day, one year ago exactly, we presented to you all, this project:
this idea, these collections of songs. this band didn’t start as most do, it was born out of reconciliation. and we weren’t exactly “young, fresh-faced and exciting”. we had no idea what the reception was going to be. we knew we had friends and family, but like, what about literally everyone else? we didn’t know if people would give a s**t, truth be told. all we knew was that what mattered most, is that we show everyone how much WE care. and that as long as we were friends first and foremost, it doesn’t matter, so long as what we what we feel is authentic and true to who we are. then we basically operated with blind faith that the rest would fall in place (hopefully).
november of 2024, we hit the ground running. we spent all the money we had saved at Zach Rippy’s studio to record FRIEND REQUEST* and ASTERISK YOUTH*, so we could give our little baby a couple of legs to stand on and start playing some shows. i basically begged our friend Trevor (RIP) of the band Hernia to give this little hand drawn ghost logo a facelift and he basically told me, “nah, dude. it’s good as is”. he freaked it some, added text, and we were basically off to the races.
the first shows were the most anxiety-inducing ones, because we hadn’t played in so long, it felt like being beginners all over again. which in turn was a blessing, because it also let us fall in love with music and playing shows, all over again. eventually it was like we never left, and suddenly things mattered again.
it’s been a wild year and we’re ever so grateful for the friends we’ve made over the past 365 days. we’ve played a grip of shows, ripped a headliner in our new hometown, hit the studio to make more music and oh yeah… got signed??
september 23rd, 2025, on a warm, post-summer night, Jarred Soloman took a wild risk on us & after a few beers at San Tan Brewing and a wonderful (and persuasive) conversation, we signed our first agreement to release music on a fu***ng label. (luv u Solly Ink Records)
we’ve made some friends that have become family through this. thank you all. we love you.

thank you so much to everyone who has been rocking our new one, “WASTING AWAY*” this weekend. by far, our most streams in a single day of a release and we’re so stoked to be starting this new chapter.
pretty crazy that we can say this is our label debut. lots more to come in the near future.
