Sharing the latest pieces from my collaborative project with the incredibly talented Lisa Olson.

I give Lisa a box of random glass and she surprises me with what photo she chooses to transfer on it. This time Lisa surprised me with three beveled pieces of glass, each adorned with a captivating photo of the iconic Diving Lady from The Starlite Motel in Mesa.

I just got an idea for the third and final piece of the series so stay tuned to 108th St. & to see what piece will complete the Diving Lady Trilogy!

When I first learned about Tapas in a meditation I immediately found myself and my heart on the mountain.

Applying Tapas to snowboarding highlights the intensity and fervor that I feel when I am riding. The “fiery discipline” becomes the driving force that not only gets my heart pumping but also elevates my overall experience.

It’s fascinating how the concept of Tapas, ‘to burn’ in Sanskrit, extends beyond traditional practices and finds relevance in various aspects of life, such as snowboarding. The idea of cultivating self-discipline, passion, and courage to burn away impurities aligns with the notion of personal growth and overcoming challenges.
