I went look at store, that said they worked with local artist. A catalog of over 40 artist.
10 hour drive to have meet, to find out they actually only carry mass produced products.
I was angry and insulted.
Angry because they called themselves a gallery.

Work in progress on a painting that has been in the help me pile for a while

This painting came from a quiet place.
There was no plan for it. No intention to explain anything. I let the color move until it felt settled. Lavender and violet layered slowly, leaving room to breathe. Some marks stayed soft. Some stayed rough. None of them were corrected.
The blue in this piece is manganese blue — a pigment that’s no longer made. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. What’s here can’t be replicated in the same way again, and I didn’t try to replace it with something close. I let it be what it is.
This painting isn’t meant to be read.
It’s meant to be lived with.
It changes with the light. Morning brings different shapes forward. Evening softens everything. It holds that in-between feeling, when something has passed but its warmth is still in the room.
This piece doesn’t ask for attention.
It offers calm.
A place for the eyes to rest.
A place to slow down.
A reminder that not everything needs words to be understood.

This painting lived quietly for a long time.
Not unloved exactly — just unfinished in a way I couldn’t name.
The first version felt too literal. Too exposed. Like a thought spoken before it knew how to breathe. I kept it, though. Because even the pieces I don’t love yet still belong to the journey.
This update didn’t change the story.
It deepened it.
What was once bright and almost nervous softened into something older. The colors learned how to listen. The space between them became sacred instead of empty. Faces still lean toward each other, but now there’s a forest of knowing between them. Roots. Veils. The kind of quiet that feels like magic instead of silence.
This is what time does when you let it.
It doesn’t erase.
It reveals.
Sometimes a painting doesn’t need fixing.
It needs waiting.
And when it’s ready, it becomes mystic on its own.
💜🖤
