Today at 3 pm PT, tune in to The Unwritten Rules of the Road with Tash Cox, as we chat with Ryan Hutman, co-founder and frontman of the Phoenix-based EBM powerhouse KREIGN.

Ryan’s journey began with HARDWIRE in the late 1990s, and over the past two decades, he's performed extensively across North America, Europe, and Latin America—both with HARDWIRE and later with KREIGN. In live settings, Ryan brings visceral energy through commanding vocals, aggressive beats, and a no-frills EBM ethos that connects deeply with fans of industrial soundscapes.

In 2010 Ryan and drummer Xiån Austin officially launched KREIGN as a tribute to old-school EBM icons like Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb—but with their own twisted modern production flair. After years of demoing and refining their sound, KREIGN’s self-titled debut dropped in 2020 and was quickly picked up by Scanner / Dark Dimensions. Their follow-up Kreign II affirmed the duo as one of the most compelling modern EBM acts, combining punishing rhythms, dynamic basslines, and harsh vocals into tightly arranged stomping tracks
