Throwback Tuesday!

Opened in 1956, the Hotel Valley Ho quickly became a Scottsdale landmark, known for its bold mid-century modern architecture and desert style.🪴

Fun fact: Hollywood stars like Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner were among the famous guests who helped make the Valley Ho a glamorous Arizona getaway. Nearly 70 years later, it’s still one of Scottsdale’s most iconic pieces of history.

Building community starts before we ever start building.

Before this home is cleared to make way for something new, Lockett Custom Homes had the opportunity to give it one more purpose ,providing the Phoenix Fire Department with a real-world environment for training.

As a local company, we believe being a homebuilder means being part of the communities where we live and work. Whenever possible, we look for ways to find value in what we have and support the organizations that serve those communities every day.

For us, giving Phoenix firefighters the opportunity to train in one of our homes is a small but meaningful way to give back.

And of course, a day of training in the Arizona heat called for something cold! 🍦☀️

We were happy to have Leo's Ice Cream a local family-owned business that caters events and celebrations of all kinds, join us for the day. They served ice cream to the firefighters and our local neighbors, making an already special day for the community even better.

It was a great reminder of what can happen when local businesses, local organizations, and local neighbors come together.

Before the old comes down and something new goes up, we’re proud this home could serve our community one more time. 🚒❤️🍦
