Vitamin A is one of the most supportive nutrients for overall health. It plays a role in skin repair, immune function, hormone balance, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery.
You can get true vitamin A from foods like egg yolks, grass-fed butter, dairy, and fish. Your body can also convert beta-carotene foods like sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, and leafy greens, into vitamin A.
These are most of the foods that hold a permanent spot on my grocery list. I’ll start sharing more of these nutrient-focused lists because they’ve helped me simplify the way I shop and cook.
