- A relevant degree and a strong portfolio.
- Strong science, (biology/biochemistry) understanding.
- Familiarity with After Effects and Cinema 4D

One of this year's AMI sourcebook image that our team worked on. MadMicrobe artist Susie Yun worked with artists Walid Aziz, Alex Sheludchenko, Ezra Kortz, and Adam Zunder to produce this stylistic image of an unfortunate bacterium under attack by multiple bacteriophage virions.

This past weekend a few of our UK/European animation team members, ie: "The Eurobes" as we affectionately call them, assembled in sunny Barcelona, Spain for a fun and enriching team-building meet-up. Led by MM Directors Vincent Elsey and Alan Smith, the team had a chance to present creative ideas and strategies for the coming year, while being inspired by Gaudi, Dali…and a fair amount of Sangria!
To help the team continue to learn and grow (as well as have a bit of fun between projects) we throw down various themed R&D challenges throughout the year for those who wish to participate. Our latest challenge was to explore SoftBody Dynamics techniques and see if we could all create a short clip showing off our results. This provided an opportunity for a few of our artists to dabble in the new Cinema 4D softbody tools, Insydiums dynamics tools, and of course Houdini.
