Goat-ee-locks Farm

He's discovered the pond isn't so bad after all, apparently. He's planning on going camo so predators won't spot him, or so he claims. How's his plan working out?

We have 2️⃣ gallons of raw goat milk available. It is not pasteurized and therefore not labeled for human consumption. $12 a gallon

This girl is a train wreck. I took the light off her warming barrel bc hens keep appearing with babies. She’s decided since she don’t need heat she’s gonna roll down the hill. And she does 🤣

Misery is over pregnancy. We had a false alarm today. The way she screamed we thought for sure she was pushing. But nope. She’s so uncomfortable. I just wanna see baby piglets!! We will be keeping a few to grow out for the freezer, but the others will be available. She’s laying down a lot and rolling on her side. I tried to lock her in their actual pen, but she busted out 😭😂 I guess she will have them wherever she decides to have them

I know we are just a little farm in MS, so this probably won’t reach who it needs to. But I have got to say these young men handing out ice cold water and Powerade’s at the light near the Memphis airport are so incredibly sweet! I know we all hear the bad things about Memphis, but let’s change that!! Their parents should be incredibly proud!!

Yesterday I put a whole lot of faith into this boy. The predator issue is still going on. I left for about an hour and a half yesterday afternoon and came home to the chicken coop DESTROYED. This boy was in the house bc we are in the training stage and I won’t leave him alone with the livestock. Well that changed. When I seen what happen I put him in with the bucks since that’s how you access the birds. I was an anxious mess all night. I prayed he would catch on to what he needed to do and not try to harm my boys. I prayed when I went out this morning my boys would be ok.

I can say he did his job of patrolling the fence line all night. Nothing dead in the pasture, but no other birds were taken out. So that’s a huge plus! The boys are not liking him being in with them. Hopefully within a few days that improves.
