OGS RC20 Installed 20 years ago! Come to the celebration!
Mark your calendars! We invite you to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Patterson Observatory on Thursday, September 5. Starting at 5:00pm we'll have Guest Speaker David Levy - Amateur Astronomer, Science Writer, and Discoverer of Comets & Minor Planets. Levy is the discoverer or co-discoverer of 23 comets and has authored 34 books. We will provide light refreshments. Weather permitting, the anniversary reception will be followed by a public observing session at the observatory.
Stargaze through the powerful Patterson Ritchey-Chretien Telescope with expert guides from the Huachuca Astronomy Club. This telescope is capable of observing objects one million times fainter than the human eye can detect. Admission is free, but space is limited. Guests wishing to attend this in-person event must register by emailing [email protected].
Bring yourself, family and friends to explore the stars. RSVP today!
