The opening credits of The Walking Dead show the exterior of the Walker Building at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, GA constructed in 1884. Originally called the White Male Convalescent Building, this building closed its doors in 1974. The mental hospital is now closed. You have to love the irony of featuring the “Walker Building”…
