Morey's Piers & Beachfront Water Parks hosted its annual PigDog Palooza today—a splash-filled sendoff to summer before the pools are drained for the winter season. Despite the rain, dogs embraced every moment, leaping into the water park pools with colorful life vests and even a few shark fins. They chased balls and frisbees, soared through the air, and wrapped up in hooded towels once the fun was done.

There was a strong turnout of Philly pups who made the day trip, proving that nothing—neither weather nor distance—can dampen the spirit of this community. PigDog Palooza has become a tradition marking the close of summer at the shore, a final hurrah for dogs to take over the pools before they’re emptied until next year.

She’s a champion wrassler, an expert high-jumper, and happiest on long hikes or walking all over her dad. Though she’s not a fan of water, Macie’s come a long way—from a shy pup slow to trust to a total sweetheart who now loves saying hi to everyone she meets.

Meet Minnie, a sassy and sweet 12-year-old golden retriever who lives for belly rubs and, most of all, tennis balls. She’s been known to carry two in her mouth while waiting for you to throw a third—fetch is her love language. Minnie knows plenty of commands but prefers to follow them on her own schedule. She’s the ultimate attention-seeker, making her rounds for pets and cuddles, and she’s gentle with kids, other dogs, and just about everyone she meets. Treats are great, but tennis balls? That’s true devotion. 🎾💕

Meet Zora, a two-year-old rescue with a heart full of love and a story that’ll stay with you. Originally from Texas, Zora was brought to the Animal Welfare Association and adopted in 2024—only to be returned a few months later, recovering from an infection after losing her litter of nine puppies. 💔 But her story didn’t end there. She found her forever human and now gets all the puppy ice cream, dog park zoomies, and love Philly has to offer. Zora adores her dog friends, her human crew, and especially visiting her grandma in Jersey. From heartbreak to healing—this girl is thriving.

Meet Ham, the one-eyed wonder pup with a heart full of joy. A rescue with a remarkable story, Ham had facial reconstructive surgery at just four months old due to an injury, which resulted in the loss of one eye—but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He’s a happy, curious pup who loves bananas, yogurt, and anything that squeaks. Whether he’s strolling through Fitler Square with his Labrador brother Hudson or greeting anyone who makes eye contact, Ham is always ready to charm the neighborhood with his sweet spirit and boundless enthusiasm.
