Everyone loves talking about the wins.

The revenue.
The freedom.
The growth.

But entrepreneurship isn’t built on the good days.

It’s built on the days when things go wrong.

The deals that fall through.
The clients that disappear.
The pivots you never planned for.

One of my favorite parts of this conversation with Brian is how honest he is about the reality of building a business.

Success isn’t about avoiding challenges.

It’s about developing the confidence that no matter what happens, you’ll figure it out.

And sometimes, that’s exactly what entrepreneurs need to hear.

A lot of the best things in my life started with a decision that felt a little scary.

Starting a business.
Taking a chance on myself.
Saying yes before I had everything figured out.
Trusting that things would work out even when I couldn’t see the whole path.

The truth is, certainty is overrated.

You don’t need a guarantee.
You just need enough courage to take the next step.

Because the risk you’re afraid to take today might be the exact thing you’re thanking yourself for a year from now.

Worst case? You learn.

Best case? You change your whole life. ❤️

One of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make?

Trying to remove themselves from sales too early.

In this conversation with Brian Samson, we talked about something that doesn’t get discussed enough:

People don’t just buy the product.

They buy the passion.
They buy the vision.
They buy the person who built it.

As founders, we often think we need the perfect pitch, the perfect script, or the perfect salesperson.

But customers aren’t looking for perfection.

They’re looking for someone who genuinely cares.

And nobody will ever care about your business more than you do.

One of the most underrated signs that your marketing is working?

Not getting more leads.
Getting better leads.

Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with a local business in a more strategic, fractional CMO role.

And one of the biggest shifts wasn’t just more inquiries.

It was watching them move from: “We’ll take whatever comes in.”

To: “Actually, that’s not the type of project we want.”

That change is powerful. Because when a business is constantly chasing work, every lead feels urgent.

But when the right systems, messaging, and strategy are in place, something interesting happens:

You stop chasing.
You start choosing.

The goal was never to be busier.
The goal was to build a business that attracts the right opportunities.

And watching that happen in real time has been one of the most rewarding parts of this work. 🙏

P.S. The numbers were pretty incredible too… 🥳 But honestly, that’s not even the most interesting part. If you’re curious what actually changed behind the scenes, my DMs are open.

One of the most peaceful shifts I’ve made in my life is learning the difference between what is mine to carry and what isn’t.

I can’t control other people’s opinions.
I can’t control the past.
I can’t control how others choose to behave.

But I can control how I respond.

My attitude.
My energy.
My boundaries.
The people I spend time with.
The way I treat myself and others.

The moment you stop trying to manage everything outside of your control is the moment life starts feeling a little lighter.

Protect your peace. Focus your energy where it can actually make a difference. 🤍

This might be the most practical advice from my conversation with Debbie:

Stop waiting for people to catch up.

So many business owners know they’ve evolved.

They’ve gained new skills.
They’ve grown.
They’ve stepped into a new level of expertise.

But they’re still waiting for everyone else to notice.

Debbie’s approach?

Don’t wait.

Start talking about what you do now.
Share your journey.
Tell people how you help.
Put yourself in the rooms where your future clients are already paying attention.

Because people can’t support a version of you they’ve never been introduced to.

Your visibility should grow alongside your identity.

One of the most empowering things to realize is that you have more creative control over your life than you think.

You don’t have to keep following a script that no longer feels like yours.

You get to rewrite chapters.
Change direction.
Take risks.
Start over.
Dream bigger.
Create a life that actually reflects who you are becoming.

The beautiful part?

You don’t have to wait for permission.

You’re already the one holding the pen. 🤍

One of the hardest parts of growth isn’t changing yourself.

It’s watching how other people react when you do.

In this conversation with Debbie Bryan, we talked about something so many entrepreneurs experience:

The moment you start evolving, not everyone celebrates it.

Sometimes people want the version of you they already know.
The version that feels familiar.
The version that makes them feel comfortable.

Not because they’re bad people.

But because growth forces everyone to look at their own lives too.

The truth?

If you’re building a business, creating a new chapter, or stepping into a bigger version of yourself, staying the same isn’t an option.

Real entrepreneurs evolve.

And sometimes growth means being willing to leave behind the identity that no longer fits.

Life isn’t handing out medals for who got married first, made the most money, bought the house, launched the business, had the baby, or figured everything out by 30.

We’re all living completely different lives, with different timelines, different lessons, and different definitions of success.

The goal was never to keep up.

The goal was to build a life that feels right for you.

So take a deep breath.

You’re not behind.
You’re not late.
You’re just on your own path. ❤️

06/15/2026

Not every season is meant for pushing harder, doing more, or checking another thing off the list.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down.
Take a walk.
Get some sleep.
Spend time with people you love.
Let yourself breathe.

You don’t have to earn your rest.

You’re allowed to recharge before you’re completely exhausted. 🤍
