Happy Autumn Equinox! 🍁 Today is the official first day of Fall here in the northern hemisphere. We will have almost exactly 12 hours of daylight and darkness today. Temperatures are dropping, the dark months are approaching, and delicious produce is coming into season.

How I Created "Robin"
This is Robin. It is the first earring design I ever made.
This design is special to me for so many reasons. It is the flagship design that relaunched Cannon Crochet as a business after a 4-ish year hiatus. I came up with the pattern on my own, with inspiration from a skirt pattern I was attempting to make for myself (a project that is still not finished, if you were wondering).
I gave this first pair of earrings to my mom as a Mother's Day gift. She loved them so much, she told me that I should sell them. I said, "Funny you should say that because I have something to tell you..." And she's been my fiercest supporter ever since.
In honor of her, I decided to name the design after her. And all of the designs that I made that first month were named for other important women in my life. I feel so grateful to have them to love and support me.
I hope you love the beautiful earrings inspired by strong women.

The Story Behind Cannon Crochet
Cannon Crochet has been - and will continue to be - an ever-evolving thing.
In 2018, I moved with my husband from my home in Delaware to Portland, Oregon. It was the farthest I had ever traveled and I fell in love with so many incredible places along the way. But my heart was stolen by one place in particular: Cannon Beach.
Driving through evergreen forests, following mountains right up to the coastline, walking through an adorable small town, and finally dipping my toes in the Pacific Ocean and seeing Haystack Rock - I had never felt more at peace.
In March 2019, I decided that I wanted to turn my lifelong hobby of crocheting into a business. Inspired by the majestic beauty of my new home in the Pacific Northwest, there was only one logical name for my venture: Cannon Crochet.
In the years since then, Cannon Crochet has changed and evolved into what it is today. I am very proud of how far I've come and hope that you love my creations as much as I do.
