One lesson I will never forget from business school was about a mistake in planning for Ge**er Baby Foods when it outsourced its marketing and expanded its operations to Africa.

In Africa, often they put a picture of the food being sold in the container on the label. Ge**er did not do their homework and realize this. They had a picture of a baby on their jars which obviously freaked people out. More about it below.
