While I was in New York for work two weeks ago, Beau was sending me pictures of all the awesome relics him and Mike found on the river. I was finally able to get out with him and the treasure hunt did not disappoint! These bullets were found in a spot where soldiers retreated across the river. Can you imagine swimming across a river with all that gear? Bullets, among other things, were certainly lost. (In my defense, the nails kind of sounded like Civil War bullets on this fancy metal detector.)

Overcoming my fear of sticking my arm into unknown places—with a little encouragement from Beau, which included: “I think that beaver hole is loaded with bullets. Absolutely loaded. Let me get my camera.”

Aquachigger convinced me to stick my entire arm in a beaver hole. It was worth it. Cleaned up in Civil War bullets. Video coming to my Crazy Lamp Lady channel soon. 🥰

Spent yesterday on the river with Aquachigger. Found this thing. 😅

Anyone like finding old bottles? These once held paregoric. (And yes, someone had a bit of an addiction. 😅)
