Dog-lover, gardener, and architectural rep extraordinaire, Liz Billies has been with Consolidated Brick since 2003, covering New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. She’s worked with architects even longer – 40 years in total!

So with decades of experience, what advances has she seen?

Here’s Liz in her own words: “One of the most exciting changes has been the rise of female architects. It’s inspiring to see how their leadership and creativity are shaping projects. Another big shift has been the way technology has evolved, transforming how architects design, plan, and communicate their ideas.”

Brick with a sense of direction.

For me, everything about this - the long Urban Ledgestone, the mix of textures, the colors, the perforated metal cladding, even the landscaping - is right.

Slate rain screen, gabion walls, and that view. Quite a combination.

In 1900 there were more than 120 brickyards in New York’s Hudson Valley. This Star brick dates to about 1890. Still at work, and the star of this section of the sidewalk.

Steel panels with a great long look, 40 year warranty, no maintenance and the right colors. Even a masonry fan has to admit it more than works.

With more than 475,000 pieces of 24” Linear Series on the project, setting up a saw shop for specials makes sense. Lynn makes it look easy, but still, it’s a lot.

Unloading brick kiln cars by hand, not robotics. Why? Jobs, families. More? Better blending and quality control. Win win.

As the clay is extruded it’s pushed through a die. At this point, the depth and length are set.
