Dr. Marshall Mitchell, Rev. Dr. Leslie Callahan, and attorney David Oh], effectively moderated by Asst Dean Rev. David Brown of Klein College of Media and Communications of Temple University of respected thought leaders, offered robust and passionate reflections of interest and benefit to all. Chelten Ave, Philadelphia, PA) from 7 PM to 11 PM. This event is all about community, connection, and celebration, and we’re pulling out all the stops with free food and drinks, dynamic conversation, and a lineup of powerful speakers. Moderated by Bakari Sellers, with participation from Kevin Liles, Jeff Johnson, Michael Ealy, and special guests, we are building a space for Black men to gather, share, and uplift one another.]

Forum Philly Juneteenth Honors Program

Penn Museum Harrison Auditorium
Forum Philly, in partnership with the Penn Museum, will commemorate the importance of June 19, 1865, the day that marks the official emancipation of enslaved people in Texas.
We proudly present our 2nd annual Juneteenth Honors Program, spotlighting the achievements of Philadelphia K-12 students and educators who have participated in Juneteenth-related programming and projects in their schools.
Dr. Khalid Mumin, Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. will give the Keynote Address.
Our very special Mistress of Ceremony is Loraine Ballard Morrill
The 2024 Juneteenth Schools Initiative (24JSI) reaches thousands of students in more than 30 schools across the region. The Honors Program will recognize Forum Philly’s partners: school districts across Philadelphia and Delaware County.
