Afresh Collective
Afresh Collective is a video production company with a mission to find, create and bring together di We are dreaming big and hoping to spark change.
Afresh Collective is a video production company created by two women of color to celebrate diversity. We embrace the Black, Latinx, Asian, Immigrant, LGBTQI+, the Neurodiverse, and the all other underrepresented communities. We want to be the example of a modern video production company, one that is truly focused on equality through representation in the stories we tell and through the people we employ.

The Cutting Room Floor - I think depending on the project and video, I’d say a lot of times when I edit something, my favorite cut is the first cut. At least certain aspects of that original cut. And it was no different with the recent video we did for Moore College of Art and Design.
So, we’ve decided to start sharing our favorite bits that didn’t make it into the final video. This was the original intro I edited. The first cut was over 15 minutes long and we had to get the video down to 12, so the intro had to be cut down a lot! We also changed the music but I really fell in love with this track and I’m happy to be putting this out in the world. Hope y’all like it! — Melanie
Also a BIG thank you to for once again killing it on the color!!!

Afresh is officially 1 year old and to celebrate we're very excited to share our biggest project to date! The Visionary Woman Award Video for Moore College of Art & Design.
We spent many months working on this project while both Davecia and myself (Melanie) became mothers for the second time, so adding two newborns to the mix certainly made this project a little more challenging but it's finally out in the world and we're thrilled to be able to share it with our friends and family.
Thank you to our wonderful crew for all your hard work in helping bring our vision to life.

Today is International Women’s Day and we wanted to share some thoughts from the amazing producer Sheryl Gauntlett Jadrosich. She talks about women’s roles in the film industry as well as creating spaces where women come together to share, talk about and promote their work.
We're finally back this with another segment of our IGTV series. This time we have Amanda McDonnell who has worn many hats in this industry talk about how sees the situation with women working in film.
