As a rule, I don't usually dig live albums. Most of em' are not- so-secretly sweetened up in the studio afterwards. Bum notes re-played, raw edges sanded down, crowd noise artificially augmented. But our set at Reggie's in Chicago for Legions Of Metal Festival was captured off the soundboard and I have taken the raw tracks and pulled two songs for inclusion on our upcoming limited edition CD release of our In The Wild/Call of The Wild single (which will be exclusive to the CD version!) and have done not much more than move a few faders up or down and panned stuff stereo left or right. Kept it as 'right in the room' raw as I could! Prior to starting, I took sonic inspiration from the original Long Island lipstick bruisers themselves when they were still slugging it out in the packed sweaty clubs in the early 80s. Live perfection? Far from it! But this ain't Dream Theater, pal. This is ROCK n' ROLL! - Ben
