My grandmother lives in Philadelphia, and I recognize how hard it has been for people who are in high risk groups to complete daily tasks safely such as grocery shopping. I didn’t often get the chance to branch out of West Philadelphia during college, so I have valued the opportunity to interact with new people and areas of Philadelphia through my involvement with Invisible Hands.”

Invisible Hands PHL is special for a few reasons so we want to break it down for you!

We are completely community and volunteer based. We work together with the Philadelphia community to ensure that anyone unable to get necessities, gets them!

We have no delivery fee!

This week our volunteer spotlight is Ginneh! Ginneh has been a big help to Invisible Hands and we are lucky to have her on the team.

“I’ve been volunteering at the IHPHL Call Center since the first week we launched. I wanted a chance to help those in my community during the pandemic. It’s been extremely rewarding to participate in such a great program that assists the populations especially at risk, and also to speak with others who are willing to volunteer and help out.”

Our next volunteer spotlight is Peter! Peter is a rising senior at UPenn and is currently applying for medical school. Last weekend he completed ELEVEN deliveries throughout ! “I wanted to find a way to help my community during these uncertain times and the most rewarding part has been seeing the smiles on people's faces when I drop off their food or other necessities.” We are so thankful for our amazing volunteers and all their hard work! Penn students lead organization that delivers food, medicine to vulnerable Philadelphians Invisible Hands PHL currently has more than 250 volunteers who carry out contactless deliveries to Philadelphia residents for free, or work remotely by taking calls from residents requesting deliveries.
