A P Joy Axle Nut Safety Wrench with Spinner Patented Feb 1, 1898
Patent Description: The screw-adjust jaw has a cam lever to advance and provide a clamping action. This lever handle and the side handle also provide props to hold the axle nut off the ground while oiling the axle. This axle-nut wrench was marketed through the first quarter of the 20th Century.

1887 Patent Brass and Bronze Chicago Trolley Car Wagon Pull Bell
This Victorian form dates to the horse drawn trolley wagon era.
