Balena Canto is Philly’s seductive song-wielding siren with a voice snatched for the gods! Born on the southern coast of Italia, Balena Canto sang out to sea conjuring a passing humpback whale who took her to a distant and mysterious land called “Philadelphia.” Balena’s favorite thing about her home is a local delicacy called, “water ice” (helps soothe the singer’s throat). Balena’s mission in life is to bring joy, laughter, and perhaps a tear or two (she is an opera singer after all) to her audiences through song.

For our second featured artist, we have Sherman!

SHERMAN is a drag performer and professional wrestler, coming to us all the way from Boston Massachusetts. They are body positive, gender fluid, and positively full of body fluid. Some fluids they made themselves, other fluids have been generously donated from the q***r community of Philly. That's right. They also produce the drag and dance party Goblin Hole, so find Sherman after the show if you are a Goblin looking for some Massachusetts based holes

Messapotamia Lefae (she/her) is a q***r cabaret artist who lives in the Gayborhood. Messy is an Associate Artist with the Bearded Ladies Cabaret. She recently made her drag ice skating debut in “Beards on Ice” and gave one-on-one Peep Show performances at the 2022 Late Night Snacks Cabaret. She has performed as a Bingo Verifying Diva at the AIDS Fund’s monthly GayBINGO for more than 13 years. She is a Celebrity Nanny and manages communications for the Anti-Racism Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania and is a member of the DA’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee. She loves baked pasta, well-done burgers, gummy bears, cats, and body hair. Messapotamia.com
