This is the best visual explanation of color and light!
Fun with flashlights. Is it magic - or just color theory? #colortheory #artandscience

Started making a Barbie outfit for my niece, Ella, out of the fabrics she chose from my studio, and the design she wanted. I’ve never made Barbie clothes before, and actually haven’t ever made a real dress before, so this is difficult working so tiny, but it’s fun. Waiting for the doll Velcro to arrive on Thursday, but for now the pins are holding it together. 😉🪡🧵🫶🏻

This little one slid down my windshield and landed on the wipers while driving slowly through a school zone. It was as if he just rolled out of the sky.
Before I could pull over, he was just looking straight at me and talking, as if he was asking for help. I pulled over and grabbed a soft mesh produce bag to be able to cradle him. He watched me as I got out of the car and came to him to pick him up, and he was very calm as I picked him up gently, and held him in the little mesh blanket. Once I sat back down with him in the car, he was looking around, and shifted his wings a little bit. I just kept talking with him, and softly stroked his back.
Sadly, by the time I dropped Caiden off to school, he passed away, so I didn’t get to take him to the wildlife vet.
I’m starting to think animals find me to be saved or to die with love and care, between this bird, the two deer, and the baby bunny. (Bunny survived after o got him to the wildlife hospital).
Poor little one… he was so sweet and trusting 🫶🏻🕊️🫶🏻

One part of my art process of creating is exploring and experiencing texture tangibly while trying to express the intangible. I chose white originally as I had planned to add color after getting the textural ground down. However, once I finished the textural white, a wash of release came over me and knew it was finished as the complete expression. It is tricky to photograph straight on
