If your tax return required an Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) last year, the IRS will be issuing you a new IP PIN for this upcoming tax season. This PIN is required to file your return, and the IRS mails it to the address they have on file from your most recent tax return.
👉 If you’ve moved, make sure to update your address with the IRS as soon as possible so your new IP PIN goes to the right place.
👉 You can also view your IP PIN online at any time by creating or logging into your IRS account here:
https://www.irs.gov/ippin
Taking care of this early can help you avoid delays and frustrations during tax season. Stay prepared, stay protected! 💙✨
