Merakey Fresh Start

At the 2920 women’s program they are making “clean jars.” For every week or month sober the residents add a gem 💎 to their clean jar as a reminder that they can see and be proud of. We are calling these Gems for Jewels. Recognizing clean time is important and it is a fun and interactive way for the ladies to participate in their recovery. Shout out to Manager Glaneysha and her staff for coming up with this fun idea.

En el programa para mujeres 2920 están elaborando «frascos de sobriedad». Por cada semana o mes de sobriedad, las residentes añaden una gema 💎 a su frasco, a modo de recordatorio tangible del que pueden sentirse orgullosas. A estas gemas las llamamos «Joyas». Reconocer el tiempo de sobriedad es importante, y esta es una forma divertida y agradable para que las damas participen activamente en su recuperación. Un reconocimiento especial a la gerente Glaneysha y a su equipo por idear esta divertida iniciativa.

Congratulations to Angeline. She just celebrated a year clean and has been a leader in the program. She has been achieving her goals and ready to give back to the community. Great work Angeline!

Meet Kyle. He has been in our Fresh Start Foundation 5 men’s program for 8 months. He has been a great role model to his peers and recently obtained employment at Xfinity Arena. Keep up the great work Kyle!

Meet Loretta! She came through the Fresh Start Foundation 6 women’s program and has been a great example of recovery and always put her hand out to the newcomer. She obtained employment in a restaurant and has worked her way up to supervisor at work. Great job Loretta!

Congratulations goes out to Jennifer, who is a resident at our womens Fresh Stat 6 program. Jennifer got accepted into a phlebotomy program at Drexel university. Awesome job Jennifer!

Congrats to Fresh Start 5 resident George. George has been a great role model for our residents that came into our program after him and has built a great foundation for himself durng his time here. He recently obtained permanent housing and is just waiting on a move in date. Great job George!

Big congratulations to Ms. Juanita who was accepted into transitional housing. She said before her 79th birthday she wants to be drug free and back to living on her own. She has been taking the necessary steps in her recovery and is excited to be heading back out on her own to continue her journey.
