Lower Merion School District Playing Fields Update – Lower Merion Conservancy 01/28/2023

This week, we saw the culmination of almost two years of hard work, negotiations and compromise, as the Lower Merion School District announced a tentative agreement which would preserve a great number of trees, historic buildings, and a key property in Villanova. It is one of those projects that I will proudly tell my grandkids about.

“Early on, Andy recognized the site’s potential as a community asset. His persistence, patience, skill, and willingness to work through challenging issues helped to make this vision a reality.”

Another great week of meeting Democrats across the County and sharing my vision for a Register of Wills office focused on social justice and accessibility for all. Thanks to the folks in Pottstown, Norristown, King of Prussia, Salford/Telford/Souderton and North Penn.

A great event this morning with the Area 4 Democrats. Joe Ciresi was so inspiring, as were Karen and all of the local candidates who spoke to inspire people to run for office. Brought back some great memories of when I ran for Township Commissioner for the first time in 2017!

Due to some amazing work in the fall, the Democrats took the State House in 2022. However, due to a couple of appointments and a death, we are now 2 seats short with 3 special elections.

I’m proud to support this zoom event on Sunday 1/22 to help us win the special elections and a majority of the State House. Please join me!

Call me strange, but I am really energized after presenting my vision for a Register of Wills office focused on social justice to three separate committees tonight (two of them on zoom from my car)!

Thanks for hosting me and all of the candidates, Abington Rockledge Democrats - ARDC, Democratic Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth, and Lansdale Democratic Committee!

Let's share a Blue Cocktail and Protect our Majority in the PA State House.

We have 3 Special Elections Democrats MUST WIN to have the majority in the PA State House.

Please join our Virtual ZOOM. Link to attend and donate is: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/protectthemajority
Donate at any level you feel comfortable with -even $10 makes a difference.

Special Guest Joanna McClinton, Democratic Leader.

Background
We won the majority on November 8: 102 Democrat to 101 Republican
BUT
One Representative died
Austin Davis will be our Lt. Governor
Summer Lee will be a Congressperson
SO: Currently we are at 99 to their 101

There will be THREE SPECIAL ELECTIONS in the above seats.
We MUST WIN all of them!

I will send the zoom link and 2 blue cocktail recipes to everyone who donates, and I thank you in advance.

I have been asked why this is needed as these districts are pretty Democratic-leaning.
1. We can’t take anything for granted.
2. They may be Democratic districts, but the electorate has to know about a Special Election and why it is important in order to vote.
3. And that costs money
4. Three Special Elections will cost a lot.

All my best, and we must hold the majority.

Please donate right now to protect our Democratic majority in PA.
