Had a great HAWC (Healing and Writing Circle) tonight and we’re grateful for everyone showing up in their fullness.
Today we had folks as young as 13 and as wise as 57 which was really special and switched it up as the evening was facilated by who gave us a beautiful prompt:
What are you avoiding or not addressing that’s holding you back from truly living.
What we shared together was real, raw, and we ending the night with mindful breathing in silence 😮💨
Looking forward to the next and thankful for the time we spent together tonight 🙏🏾

Every 3rd Thursday at the we come together for the Healing And Writing Circle which has become a time to heal for many black men.
Here you can look forward to taking up space, holding space, and through honest conversation find yourself in the midst of healing.
Last month we focused on our physical health and had guest speaker Lorraine from who discussed the advancements in technology in detecting prostate cancer, what we should be asking our doctors, and other services they provide.
The month before lead the circle diving into music as he brought his vinyl and tapes in as we explored what song meant the most to us and why through a writing prompt.
We switch it up from time to time but what remains the same is that the space will be what you need and you’ll leave better than when you came.
Spread the word ✨

A lot of what we do at The Village Path starts with people simply showing up for each other.
Whether it’s free therapy for Black men, healing circles, youth programs, or community events, this work exists because people believe our communities deserve spaces to heal, grow, and feel supported.
If you’ve ever shared our posts, donated, volunteered, attended an event, or even just encouraged someone to keep going
THANK YOU!
Today for Give STL Day, we’re asking for your support so we can continue doing this work and reach even more people.
Every contribution matters. Find the link in our story to donate.

Last night’s Healing and Writing Circle (HAWC) with The Village Path was powerful.
Lead by we gathered, we reflected, and we leaned into transformation.
Using the life of Malcolm X as our framework, we walked through the many transitions of his life and mirrored them with our own. We reflected on the names we’ve been given at birth, by family, by circumstance and the ways those names have shaped us.
And then we asked a deeper question:
What does it look like to reclaim our names?
From birth to death and everything in between.
We wrote. We shared. We sat with truth. We witnessed one another.
Grateful for everyone who showed up with honesty and courage. Thank you to the for catering.
We’ll see you at the next circle !
