It's only 3 days away!

If you have ADHD you probably have at least one DOOM pile around your house. That stuff that keeps getting shuffled around but never finds a home?

On Thursday, August 13th, join me for the Ditching The DOOM Piles Workshop.

It's free to attend, and you'll leave understanding why those pile build up in the first place and take away some strategies to start whittling those piles down.

Make sure to register using the link in the comments. Only folks who have registered will receive the event link.

Leadership can feel isolating—especially when you're navigating it with ADHD, anxiety, or any neurodivergent experience. This roundtable was created to change that.

Join a growing group of professionals who get it.

At the Neurodiversity in Leadership Roundtable, the second Thursday of every month, we tackle the invisible battles that impact high-performers. We redefine what leadership looks like outside the box. We trade shame for strength, and isolation for accountability.

💬 Why attend?

-Learn from the real-life experiences of other leaders and founders
-Build community around shared struggles and strengths
-Explore tools for self-management that actually work for neurodivergent minds
-Leave with renewed clarity, connection, and practical insight
-Tasty snacks (BYO if your virtual)

Your attention is fine. Your storage isn't.

Not the physical storage in your home (probably. I'm not there to know). I'm talking about your cognitive storage. What you carry, or not, in your head.

There's research on eye movements in ADHD suggesting the problem isn't taking spatial information in. Like that pile of stuff that's sitting there. It's holding onto it and filing that information. Attention works. The storage is where it breaks down.

The everyday version: you can see the room perfectly well. But, you're not able to hold a map of it. So "away" isn't a real place in your head. Every time you go to put something away you're solving the same puzzle from scratch.

If things don't have homes, why would you try to put them in them?

This means the fix isn't remembering or trying harder. It's creating a different strategy and developing a map that doesn't need to live in your head.

Labeling can be part of the solution. But, it's not THE solution. Trying to rely on labeling alone is a good way to get distracted by making the labels and how your cat ends up stickered.

If you want to learn the real solutions that have lasting impacts, join me for the Ditching The DOOM Piles workshop. Registration link is in the bio.

I'm looking forward to seeing you August 13th at 6pm EST.

It's here. My book is officially out today. 🎉

Here's something most people don't say out loud: a lot of ADHD folks can't finish the books written to help them.

Dense pages. Tiny fonts. Walls of text with nowhere for your eyes to rest. You buy the book that's supposed to help, and the format becomes one more thing you couldn't get through. One more reason to feel like the problem is you.

So I built this one differently.

Every choice in *There Is No Box: A Guide to Failing Into Thriving With ADHD* was intentional. The font. The spacing. The short chapters. The white space that gives your brain room to breathe. It's designed to be read by the people it's actually for.

Accessible on purpose. Actionable intentionally.

If you've ever started a book and stalled halfway, this is your invitation to try again.

There's a concept I borrow when I talk about what gets in the way of starting a task. Brendan Mahan, an ADHD coach, calls it the Wall of Awful.

Every time something goes badly, you add a brick. Guilt, disappointment, the memory of being told off about it. Over years, that stack becomes a wall, and the wall goes up between you and the task before you've even started.

Two things that are important to understand:

First, the wall isn't actually in front of the task. It's walls you've built around yourself that box you in and keep you from moving forward.

Second, you don't have to destroy the wall to be able to get things done.

The secret is in the strategy of dealing with the wall. If you want to learn the how, come join me August 13th at 6pm EST for the free Ditching The DOOM Piles workshop!

𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲!

The pile you're currently avoiding is:

A) Mail and paperwork
B) Clothes on a surface that is not a wardrobe
C) The bag of cables nobody has ever needed
D) A room. It's a whole room.

No wrong answers. No shame. Own it!

People ask why a nurse teaches decluttering.

I don't.

I teach executive function, and DOOM piles are where dysfunction with ADHD shows up in away that can be seen.

I've spent years with people who manage complex medication schedules, hold down demanding jobs, and care for other humans competently. At the same time, they feel like frauds because of a spare room. The gap between how they perform in public and how they cope in private is where the shame spirals live. That shame is a wellness issue, not a housekeeping one.

That's the session in a nutshell. Not a house cleaning tutorial. A look at what your brain is actually doing when it stalls and spins, and methods that work with it.

Join me August 13th at 6pm EST for a free webinar on Ditching The Doom Piles.
