✨ Welcome to June ✨

A new month brings new opportunities to dream bigger, serve better, and continue building the kind of world we believe is possible.

At ACCI, we are reminded that sustainable change does not happen overnight. It happens through consistent action, compassion, collaboration, and people who choose to make a difference wherever they are.

This June, may we continue to create spaces where communities thrive, ideas grow, and lives are transformed.

Here’s to a month filled with renewed hope, meaningful progress, and good tidings. 💙🌍

Happy New Month from all of us at Action for Collective Change Initiative.

Happy International Day of the Boy Child 💙

Today, we celebrate boys everywhere and recognize the importance of raising a generation of young men who are confident, kind, emotionally healthy, and empowered to thrive.

Every boy deserves safe spaces to learn, grow, dream, play, and become the best version of himself regardless of his background, race, or circumstance.

At ACCI, we believe that when boys are nurtured with the right values, opportunities, and support systems, they grow into leaders, changemakers, and responsible members of society.

Today, we celebrate their potential, their voices, and the bright future they represent. 🌍✨

On March 13, 2026, ACCI carried out its second youth empowerment outreach in Groupe Scolaire Ntora Primary and Secondary School, Gisozi Sector, Gasabo District, Rwanda, focused on one simple but powerful goal : removing barriers to education.

Working closely with school administrators and teachers, we identified students from economically disadvantaged households who were unable to afford basic school materials.

As a result, 20 vulnerable students received school uniforms.

In many schools, uniforms are required. Without them, students often feel excluded or are unable to fully participate in school life.

This intervention helped:
✔ Restore confidence among students
✔ Improve participation in class
✔ Reduce the risk of absenteeism
✔ Create a more inclusive learning environment

The response from the school community was immediate. Students expressed joy and relief, while teachers noted increased motivation and engagement among beneficiaries.

This is what youth empowerment looks like in practice : meeting real needs, in real communities, with real impact.

Work is not just what we do.

It is how we survive, how we provide, and for many, how we hope.

Today, we are thinking about the young person trying to find their first opportunity.

The worker showing up every day despite uncertainty.
The people doing honest work that is often unseen, yet essential.

At ACCI, we have seen firsthand through our programs that when people are given the right skills and support, work becomes more than a struggle. It becomes a pathway to dignity and growth.

This is what we choose to stand for.
Not just celebrating work, but pushing for work that is fair, meaningful, and accessible to all.

Happy International Workers’ Day.

Before any support was given, we listened.

During our first outreach in Rwanda, ACCI worked closely with local authorities and village leaders to ensure that every step of the process was transparent, fair, and community-driven.

We held community meetings to introduce our work and explain the purpose of the intervention. From there, our team conducted household visits to verify living conditions and identify the most vulnerable individuals.

This approach helped us:
📍Build trust with the community
📍Ensure the right people were reached
📍Strengthen collaboration with local leadership

What stood out the most was not just the need, but the willingness of the community to engage, share, and collaborate.

For us, impact is not just about what we give.
It is about how we show up, who we involve, and the trust we build along the way.

On February 21, 2026, Action for Collective Change Initiative (ACCI) carried out its first community outreach in Rwanda, in Gasabo District, Gikomero Sector, Kibara Cell.

This intervention focused on improving access to healthcare by supporting vulnerable community members with community-based health insurance (Mutuelle de Santé).

Working closely with local authorities and village leaders, our team conducted community meetings and household visits to identify those most in need. Priority was given to:
• Elderly individuals without support
• Single-parent households
• People living with chronic illnesses
• Families in the lowest income categories

As a result, 25 vulnerable citizens who could not afford health insurance were supported.

This intervention means:
✔ Access to primary healthcare services
✔ Reduced financial burden during medical emergencies
✔ Increased likelihood of seeking timely treatment
✔ Improved overall well-being

The impact was immediate. Beneficiaries expressed relief and renewed hope, while local leaders welcomed the initiative as a meaningful contribution to community health and national efforts toward universal health coverage.

At the same time, this outreach highlighted an important reality - the need is far greater than the resources available.

Many more households still require support, reinforcing our commitment to expand this work through partnerships and sustained intervention.

This is how change begins.
Practical, people-centered action that restores dignity and strengthens communities.

Happy International Women’s Day.

This year’s theme Give to Gain reminds us that progress grows when we invest in women. When women are given opportunities, resources, education, and leadership spaces, communities become stronger and societies move forward.

At ACCI, we believe that supporting women and girls is not just the right thing to do. It is one of the most powerful ways to build a more just and sustainable future.

Today we celebrate the women who continue to lead, give, and uplift others every day.
