Dear younger self,
I know you spend a lot of time wondering who you’ll marry.
You imagine what he’ll look like, what he’ll be like, and what your life together will become. What you don’t know yet is that life will take you places you never expected to go.
You’ll experience love, loss, growth, and healing.
You’ll become a mother, and your children will be among the greatest gifts of your life. Some chapters won’t last forever, but they will still matter.
So stop worrying about how the story unfolds.
Trust the journey.
One day you’ll look back and realize that every twist, every heartbreak, every blessing, and every lesson was leading you exactly where you were meant to be.
And you’ll be grateful for all of it.

Her joy was louder than her trauma
I keep talking about my daughter's story because it matters.
Because she mattered.
She came into this world with a smile that refused to dim - even atter surviving things no child should ever endure.
She reminded me that even the most broken hearts can still love, still laugh, still light up a room.
And now, I share her story to make sure her strength lives on in others.
To show foster youth that they are not forgotten.
To show grieving mothers that joy is still possible.
If my voice can help even one person feel less alone, then I'll keep telling her story for the rest of my life.
