A feel good mini story (Please read )😊

So I am currently not taking on new clients because it is hard enough to get all of my current clientele in due to the 1 client at a time pandemic rule. Where I used to do 8-10 clients per day, I'm now able to only do 3-4. Inorder to ensure that my Healthy Hair members are able to get their weekly or biweekly treatments, I've stopped taking new clients.

Now that being said, a lady called me about a month ago and tells me another stylist recommended she come see me due to her thinning hair. The stylist didn't know what else to do to help this client and gave her my #. When the client called me I explained that I couldn't take on any new clients. I heard the disappointment in her voice and said to myself, ok Foluke, you can take this one client, just this ONE! I told her I would do her hair but I couldn't get her til the following month, she happily agreed to wait.😊

Her appt day finally arrived last week. Alopecia and thinning hair can occur for many different reasons. Sometimes we're able to grow the hair back and other times we're not. With this particular client it was hereditary so the only option I can offer her in the salon is deep conditioning treatments to help strengthen the hair she still has, in hopes of slowing down the progression of her thinning hair and to offer hair extensions.

I braided her hair, sewed a net to the braids to help hold the weave extensions, than sewed the extensions to the net. I than custom cut the weave to compliment her face. Below is a picture of the finished results. She was so happy that she could shake her hair once again.😊 ❤

We talked throughout the whole appt and I found out she was a fellow UT grad, go Longhorns!🤘🏽 I enjoyed the time with her and was very happy I decided to take on just one more client, reminding me of why I do what I do.

As beauty professionals, we DON'T just do hair, makeup, nails, etc... we help improve the quality of life for many people. I LOVE MY JOB, and I LOVE ALL MY PEOPLE in the BEAUTY INDUSTRY!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I know some people don't shop at stores anymore because they think online shopping is more convenient, but I prefer going to the store. The items you need are already there waiting for you to buy them.

I get asked ALL the time about texturizers. In the past I've explained the difference between a texturizer and a relaxer. Today I'm showing you the different looks we can achieve for a client who has a texturizer. 🤗 These are all pictures of the SAME client but with different styles. #1 Healthy Hair Program in Town!!

This beautiful client has a texturizer customized for her hair texture by yours truly 😏. The texturixer can go from curly to straight and back to curly again. I always forget to take the picture of the hair when it's wet to show you guys the curly texture.😩 Maybe next time.

Another beauty on my Healthy Hair Program. She gets a strong texturizer. The texturixer doesn't straighten the hair all the way like a relaxer does, leaving some wave pattern in the hair. A client with a texturizer is able to wear her hair curly or straight. This client prefers to wear her hair straight majority of the time so I give her a strong texturizer. A quick blow dry and light flat iron is all that's needed to achieve this staight look. If she wanted to wear her hair curly, all she'd have to do is wet the hair, apply gel, setting lotion, or curl custard and the hair would be curly.😊 Many of my clients have texturizers customized by me for their specific hair texture.
