Mother's day is a time to reflect on the never ending giving our mothers do for us day in and day out. Especially expecting mothers, giving their whole selves for their growing child. Did you know that physical therapy (pelvic floor rehabilitation) has exceptional ways to help prepare you for labor and delivery? Because the body drastically changes throughout the 9 months of pregnancy it is extremely important for a woman to remain active and healthy for both herself and her baby. Physical therapy can help with alleviating back and pelvic pain as well as enhancing your body’s ability to have an easier and healthier pregnancy and birth. A third of women experience pain for up to one year after giving birth, postnatal physical therapy can help reduce that pain. Working with a trained pelvic floor therapist can be effective in helping strengthen your body as a whole allowing for a speedier recovery process, both internally and externally. If you are a mom, a mom-to-be, or you know one of these amazing women struggling with pain and discomfort related to pregnancy... we can help!
