Perry Lions Club meets every 1st and 3rd WEDNESDAY of the month at Cherokee Pines Golf and Fitness Center at 12 noon.
Lions, frequently known as "knights of the blind," focus on programs and services for the blind and visually impaired. Lions work to end blindness and support health programs to control and prevent diabetes and diabetic retinopathy, the leading cause of vision loss in working-age adults in industrialized countries. Lions also focus on hearing by arranging screenings, recreational camps for the deaf and hearing aid recycling programs for children and adults. Perry Lions have collection boxes for used glasses in good repair, hearing aids and cell phones at the following Perry locations: in the lobby at Perry City Hall, at Crossroads Family Eyecare (Dr. Paul Smith), Advanced Eyecare Center (Dr. Matt Dixon) and Walmart Vision Center.

Next week or two we will be taking are garden goodies to the food pantries. Radishes, lettuce, peas, green beans, spinach, tomatoes and cucumbers. 2nd year for our garden and we are starting to get the hang of it.

Look how beautiful Tyee Brown's Memorial Tree looks this morning at the Perry Lions Club garden. Work has begun on the garden. Soon we will be distributing fresh garden goodness to local food pantries. If you know of someone that we should add to our distribution list send us a message.

WE SERVE. We are asking the community to help us with this Service Project. We are collecting Brand New Lego single project kits for Children that are in the hospital. What a fun and caring way to give back to a Child that is fighting for their life.

Thanks for the invite to your partnership luncheon. We are proud to work with you on such a great mission. The Abba House Middle Georgia is doing great things in Middle GA. There are many ways to support them. Next up May 18th is there 5K run/walk.
