Chappie James Museum of Pensacola

Chappie James Museum of Pensacola

My father served under Col. James in Tripoli in from 1967-'69 when we had to leave because of the take over by Gaddafi.

He talked about him for many years after we left.
Can't wait to come visit!!
I definitely will be checking out this museum. I love learning about my country's history and Mr James was an exceptional human being and the first African American 4-star General with the USAF. I can only imagine what all he had to go through getting to that position. From the little bit of his life I have read so far, he was actually a very down to earth guy and was big on giving back to the community. I think the flight school addition is going to be huge also. Just happy to have some positive historic figures having their lives showcased for us all. Thank you!
We have started a General "Chappie" James Memorial Bridge page. Please like and share to get this grassroots movement started right!
