Santa Rosa Kids House diaper delivery. Fastest unload ever!
A big shout out to everyone that came to help unload on Monday. None of this would have been possible without so many people coming together to make this the BEST Pin and Bead event in 12 years!

A BIG shout out to ALL the Krewes who came out today to support the 12th Annual Krewe of Blues Pin & Bead Festival. Thousands of diapers were collected for the Gulf Coast and Santa Rosa Kids Houses. It is because of all your hard work we are able to help these organizations year after year. We have a wonderful time swapping pins and beads and having Krewe Wars , raffling off baskets and other things. But the diapers , and the babies who need them, are what it is ALL about. THANK YOU!

This year, the Krewe of Blues will host their 12th Annual Pin & Bead Festival on Sunday, January 15, 2023, in Pensacola’s Historical Seville Square from 10:00am-5:00pm. This is a FREE event open to the Public.
As the first Krewe festival of the Mardi Gras season, this event provides an opportunity for Mardi Gras Krewes to come together, not only to trade pins and beads, but to raise money for the charities they support. The event has evolved into a charity diaper drive for Gulf Coast Kids House Pensacola and Santa Rosa Kids House Milton. Each year thousands of much needed diapers are collected and distributed!
We will have over 20 various Krewes set up under their colorful tents with lots of raffles as well as merchandise for sale. This year we will have music provided by a DJ, a coffee bar, and locally brewed beer provided by Doc’s Hop Shop of Pensacola! Food is also available at Hub Stacey’s, one of our long-time sponsors.
One of the most anticipated events each year is The Krewe War Games. Various Krewe members participate in some fun (often hilarious) games. The Krewe War Championship Trophy is a very prestigious award presented each year by The Krewe of Blues.
During the event, points are earned by each Krewe for various categories, including: Best Booth Display and Decorations, Best Pin and Bead, (to be judged by some local celebrities), Krewe Wars Champion and of course the most Diapers collected!
Come out and meet us up front and personal! Let us know if you are interested in joining our team. Our membership runs from June to May. Many other Krewes are also accepting new members and would love to talk to you at the event as well. It will be a great opportunity for you to see what they have to offer.

Are you or your business interested in becoming a sponsor for a Pensacola Area Charity Event? Why not become a sponsor for the Annual Pin and Bead Festival and Diaper Drive?
This event allows the Pensacola Area Mardi Gras Krewe's to come together to celebrate Mardi Gras, build krewe camaraderie and relationships with Pensacola Area Community, showcase and trade their new pins and beads, but it is so much more!
The Festival also hosts a Charity Diaper Drive as well. Diapers are collected from Mardi Gras Krewes, Pensacola Area Businesses and individuals donating to the charity. The Diaper Drive has increased the amount of diapers that are collected and distributed locally to the Gulf Coast Kids House and the Santa Rosa Kids House every single year!
The last four years totals are:
2019 - 32K Diapers
2020 - 44.7K Diapers
2021 - 72.6K Diapers
2022 - 79.3K Diapers
We expect 2023 to exceed 2022! It is a fun and exciting event with a serious goal!

What is a Pin & Bead festival?
“Krewe of Blues Pin & Bead Festival” is the first “Krewe Festival”!
Whether you are in a Krewe, a Vendor, or just want to enjoy a fantastic day of entertainment then this Festival is for you!
Our invitation extends to all Krewe’s near and far. Promoting their Krewe, their charity of choice and swapping Pins and Beads. Enjoying fantastic food provided by the food vendors, merchandise offered by the merchants, and of course Great Entertainment.
Krewe of Blues Pin & Bead Festival is an opportunity for Krewe’s to get to know one another and swap special pins and beads (one of the traditions of the Pensacola Mardi Gras) and for everyone to have a fun and exciting day meeting all the Krewes.
After originating and hosting “The Krewe of Blues Pin & Bead Swap” for the past Eight years, and as we grow and expand, we also realize our name must reflect what we have evolved into “A Krewe Festival”.
Each year we add to the event, adding a couple of new attractions, and events for Krewes to participate in, such as Krewe competitions, and this year is no different. We will have more Krewes, Vendors, Games and exciting entertainment.
A Massive Diaper drive for Gulf Coast Kids house will again be a big part of the event. We will have a special pin to hand out to those that will bring a case of Diapers to the event or to those that will give a cash donation of $10.00.
We hope you will be a part of this one of a Kind Krewe Festival this year. The past years have had an impressive turnout and we look forward to another amazing Event!
We have several options for YOU! You may choose to sponsor the event by promoting your business. You may reserve a 10x10 space for your Krewe or business or maybe you just want to come out and support your favorite Krewe eat and enjoy the entertainment. Either way you are guaranteed to have a fantastic day full of fun and excitement!
